Treehouse Session at Workers Cafe - Sam West
7.00pm – Open Mic for Teens + Open Mic for Adults 8.00pm – Teacher Performance at Workers Cafe in Upper Street At Music Tree, we have never wanted to create just lessons or courses. What we are building, step by step, is a musical community, a space where people can grow not only as musicians, but as human beings in relation to one another. In this space, something very different happens. Younger musicians begin to see what is possible by listening to those who have walked a little further ahead. Adults often reconnect with a part of themselves that had been quietly set aside, the part that still wants to play, to explore, to express without needing a reason. Teens, in turn, find a place where their creativity is not judged or shaped too quickly, but seen, supported, and taken seriously. Music, in the Treehouse Sessions, slowly shifts from being something private, something to practice alone, into something shared. Something that lives between people. Performance itself starts to change meaning: it is no longer about pressure or getting it right, but about connection, presence, and the courage to be heard. This evening holds both of these worlds together. It is a chance to learn from a professional musician, to witness artistry in its full expression, and at the same time, to make space for one another, to step forward, however tentatively, and share something real.
